Toms River Police Foundation

The Toms River Police Foundation awards a number of scholarships annually to qualified applicants from all four Toms River high schools pursuing a career in law enforcement as well as the children of police department members regardless of their career path.

Additionally, the foundation hosts a charity race held each December in Downton Toms River.  We are proud to say the Jingle Bells 5K Run attracts over 750 race participants annually to the festive event.  A committee of Toms River police officers coordinates the race, and the proceeds benefit scholarships to local High School TEAM and INTERACT seniors. There is also a Detective Mark Catalano Memorial Scholarship for High School students who are majoring in a Law Enforcement career.  Each year we spotlight a new charity to bring awareness to our neighboring charitable organizations. These special donations those in need in Toms River.
